At Uncorked, we have developed a system (Winedex™) that will enhance our customers’ wine tasting experience by helping them understand, identify with, and become self-sufficient in comparing and selecting wines from around the world.
Each wine will be assigned a profile made up of a series of symbols representing the wine’s identifying characteristics such as type, body, sweetness and flavors. The customer can then make an informed decision on his or her selection based on its characteristics as well as compare already experienced wines to other wines encouraging exploration. A detailed explanation of the system as well as each underlying characteristic will be presented in the store as well as on the company’s website soon.
